About Us

We take our focus on addressing issues on malnutrition, hunger and unemployment and take action for humanitarian purposes.

Founded in 2015, ThembiT Foundation is a dream coming true for Nomathemba Tshabalala, a South African musician who has witnessed the disadvantages of the communities around her.

Upon realizing the needs with the arts industry, together with the abundance of talent within the communities, orphanage homes and schools; talents that were not properly nurtured or further explored, we develop programmes to train disadvantaged communities on how to read music scores and play different types of music instruments. We also help schools raise funds by hosting talent shows.

With the devastating conditions induced by Covid-19, the foundation shifted the attention to a more critical area of necessities in the fast pace increase of hunger and unemployment. We run feeding schemes and cookouts for the communities in need.

Our Mission

To provide an effective solution to curb the effects of hunger, malnutrition, food wastage, unemployment by means of food parcels distributions, as well as women, youth and children empowerment.
To provide strategic women empowerment and advocate for women affected by GBV and skills
transfer.

Our Goal

To instill in everyone’s mind awareness and commitment on solving a daily increasing community problems, empowerment and employment. By employing people in the community, we hope to create awareness in them as well as understanding that often we are the solution to the problems we are faced with.
